HanziWorksheet is architected as a privacy-first static web application. Almost every tool on our site—including custom worksheet generation, stroke order animation, and PDF export—runs 100% locally inside your web browser.
1. Worksheet Text & PDF Generation Stay on Your Device
When you type student names, custom sentences, or vocabulary lists into the Worksheet Generator (/worksheet-generator) or Blank Grid Paper tool (/paper), that text is processed exclusively in your browser memory using client-side JavaScript. Your custom worksheet content is never uploaded to or stored on our servers.
2. Voluntary Email Subscription for HSK Printable Packs
If you choose to enter your email address to receive a complete HSK printable workbook link or curriculum update notifications, we store your email address, selected language locale (en, vi, or id), and subscription timestamp in our encrypted Cloudflare D1 database. You may unsubscribe at any time with a single click, and we never sell or rent email addresses to third parties.
3. Analytics & Essential Security Logs
We use aggregated, privacy-friendly traffic metrics (Google Analytics 4 and Cloudflare Web Analytics) to understand which HSK levels and worksheet templates are most useful, plus Cloudflare edge logs to protect the site against automated abuse.
